David Traver won the championship of the World Beard and Moustache Competition, the world championship of beards and mustaches, which this year was held in Anchorage (Alaska) getting bring together over 300 participants from eleven different countries.
impressive winner wore a beard shaped snowshoes. To get this way David Traver worked on his beard for two and a half years, to get the required length to weave.
As the representative of Alaska trophy was raised with a commemorative gold leaf and a salmon fishing trip. Traver
includes the crown of German Elmar Weisser Brigachtal who in 2007 became champion in Brighton with a mustache that reproduced the Tower Bridge in London.
Organized by clubs and classes, the contestants of this world championship is held every two years can compete in different modalities ranging from Salvador Dali mustache, through FuManchu, imperial style or 'freestyle'
Keith Haubrich was the winner of the 'freestyle' with a mustache asymmetries round pin and loops.
