The environmental cost of "googling" Eating processed feeds

Conduct two searches in the Google Web site "produces as much carbon dioxide (CO2) and heat water to make instant coffee," according to a researcher at Harvard University in the United States.

Echoing the concern of environmental scientists about the impact of information technology on the environment, Alex Wissner-Gross conducted a study on the impact of "googling" on greenhouse gas emissions emissions.

Wissner-Gross says in his study that a standard search on Google produces 7 grams of CO2.

If you do two searches, that amount is multiplied by two, equivalent to heat water to make some coffee.

In any case, Google said in a statement that the figures presented by Wissner-Gross are not correct, since calculated that a search on their website produces only 0.2 grams of CO2.
